Did you know there's a faceless old woman who secretly lives in your home? It's true. She's there now. She's always there, just out of your sight. Always just out of your sight. — Cecil Gershwin Palmer

Kepler's Literary Foundation is thrilled to announce a book discussion and signing with the fascinating creators of the #1 international podcast "Welcome to Night Vale." Joseph Fink and Jeffrey Cranor will share their brand new, standalone novel based on the series, The Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives In Your Home.

Whether you have long worshipped the Glow Cloud or you’re an innocent who is completely new to Night Vale Community Radio, this book is sure to shock and delight you.

What is Night Vale, you ask? Welcome to Night Vale is a podcast that presents itself as a community radio broadcast set in the otherworldly desert town of Night Vale. Listeners may be soothed by the velvety tones of our host, Cecil, but have no doubt that it's a very strange place. Creator Joseph Fink describes it as a place where every conspiracy theory you've ever heard is true. Our favorite description comes from artist Kate Leth, who describes it this way: It’s like Stephen King and Neil Gaiman started building a town in The Sims and then just left it running. For years.

The broader world of Night Vale offers an unparalleled landscape of creepy and creative delight. Why would you ever wait to join us in the Vale? On April 6th, you have your chance.

The Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives in Your Home takes readers deeper into lore of this strange desert town to tell the history of one of its most interesting and terrifying residents, The Faceless Old Woman. From her origin story in the late Napoleonic 18th century to her present-day swashbuckling activity as she centers her taste for horror and revenge on Night Vale citizen Craig, you are sure to love the Faceless Old Woman. Or you will learn to pretend to—because she is in your home—right now—watching you.
